Out now – Long Nights in Languedoc

Posted: August 1, 2011 in Uncategorized

The second issue of the excellent Alt Hist, featuring my story Long Nights in Languedoc, is out now. The story is a historical fantasy, set during one of the long, brutal chevauchee raids of the Hundred Years War, when the flower of Angevine chivalry tried to rob and burn France into submission. For the English raiders of Long Nights, the days are filled with spoils and glory, but something else is waiting for them in the darkness, something far worse than any Frenchman.

This story is a sequel of sorts to Leprosaria, but only in sharing some characters. It’s already gained positive reviews at Tangent and SF Crowsnest, so please, go, read, enjoy.
